A website can look good and still bring in nothing. Visitors decide within seconds whether they are in the right place. If the page makes them work to find out, they leave.
1. Say what you do and who it is for in the first line
"Welcome to our website" tells nobody anything. "Commercial cleaning for offices in Leeds" tells the right person they are in the right place.
2. Give one clear next step
Pick the action you want most, usually a contact form or a call, and repeat it down the page. Five different buttons split attention.
3. Make it fast on a phone
Most visitors arrive on a phone. Compress images, drop heavy sliders and test on mobile data, not office Wi-Fi.
4. Show proof close to the ask
A short testimonial, a result or a recognisable client type next to the form does more than a whole "Testimonials" page nobody opens.
5. Give each service its own page
One page per service ranks better in Google and answers the exact question the visitor searched for.
6. Keep the form short
Name, email and what you need. Ask the rest on the call. Every extra field loses people.
7. Reply fast
The best website in the world will not help if enquiries sit unread for three days. Send new messages straight to the inbox you actually check.
